The Biosphere We Make is a site-specific, monumental media artwork designed for G.MAP’s architectures. Building upon the speculative ecosystem engines of Sequerciani 2076+ and Speculative Evolution Prototype 2, the project visualizes the algorithmic genesis of transbiological chimeras – hybrids of animals, plants, fungi, and robotics synthesized by AI to withstand future climate crises. On the vast horizontal LED screens, monumental chimeras first appear as urgent solutions to drought, toxicity, pollinator loss, or ecological imbalance; as their 3D phylogenetic lineages branch across the panorama, they expose the machine decisions, trade-offs, and new dependencies behind each repair. By confronting the public with the ultra-detailed visual and conceptual ambiguity of machine-designed organisms, the project critically reflects on human techno-solutionism.
