At a time when algorithms are profoundly restructuring the way the world is perceived, and when technology is increasingly intervening in life, ecology and social systems, how art responds to an age continuously rewritten by data, intelligent systems and new media has become an unavoidable question for contemporary art. CODES & CANOPIES: Art Beyond the Age of Algorithms unfolds within this very context.

Taking an interdisciplinary perspective, the exhibition focuses on the increasingly complex relationships between art, technology, life and the environment, and seeks to explore how contemporary art may reorganize perception, activate imagination and construct possible forms of future coexistence amid technological transformation.
Today, "code" has long exceeded the purely technical domain. It is no longer merely a matter of computer language, mathematical logic or programmed instruction, but has gradually become one of the fundamental ways in which images, information, life mechanisms and environmental systems are shaped. How images are generated, how information circulates, how life is identified, regulated and simulated, and how environments are sensed, monitored and fed back into systems-all are, to varying degrees, entering coded structures. At the same time, coding has profoundly altered the relationships between human and nonhuman beings, nature and technology, body and machine, compelling us to rethink the meanings of "perception," "intelligence," "life," and "coexistence."
